Task: Celebrate My Last Day With an Outdoor Music Concert!
What I Did:
Noah and I had lots of fun playing instuments outside!

Noah played the Harp, and I played the Recorder,

And Noah played the Tambourine,

and I played the Violin!

Task: Identify Different Types of Leaves
What I Did:

 I went to the woods to look at different leaves.

I found Holly,

Task: Climb a Hill and Enjoy the View
What I Did:
 

I decided to go to Surprise View.

I climbed up,

I got to the top,

And what a view!

Task: Watch the Sunset
What I Did:
At 22:00, I noticed the beautiful sunset in the sky. So I decided to take some photos of it. Look at the patterns!

Task: Write a Poem about Summer
What I Did:
I went outside to experience the summer senses and write a poem.

 I sat down,

and started to write.

The poem went like this:

"I can feel the summer breeze on me,

I can feel the rocks beneath my feet,

I can feel, feel, feel.

I can hear the birds up there, somewhere,

I can hear the wind, the leaves just there,

I can hear, hear, hear.

I can smell the grass, I smell the trees,

I can smell the cleaver, I smell the weeds,

I can smell, smell, smell.

I can eat the wild strawberries,

I can eat honey from the bees,

I can eat, eat, eat.

I can see the green all around me,

I can see the clouds – that’s what I see.

I can see, see, see."

Day 25

Task: Make Fat Cakes for the Birds
What I Did:
We found out the the fat cakes that we bought had animal fat in so we decided not to buy any after the birds had finished them.  Instead we made a vegetarian version.

We used oatmeal, plain flour, 

coconut oil, peanut butter, sunflower seeds,

raisins, sugar, cornflower and pumpkin seeds

(optional).

 

We put coconut oil, peanut butter and sugar in a bowl,

We melted them together in a "bain marie"

 

We mixed the other ingredients together,

Then we put the wet ingredients in and

mixed,

 

Then we put it in a tray and cooled it in the fridge.

 

When it was cool we cut it into squares,

 

and put it in the bird feeder.

Day 24

Task: Make a Green Man Mask
What I Did:
I learned about the green man in English folklore. He is a person made out of greenery who represents spring and summer.  My friends and I made "Green Man" masks using plain white masks which we painted and leaves from the garden.

 This is me wearing the mask before I painted it,

I painted it green,

I cut leaves out,

I tried it on,

And so did Noah!

Task: Find Different Types of Grass
What I Did:
I went into the garden to look at different types of grass.

 This one looks like a tree,

This is a bit purple,

This is furry,

And this one looks like a bunch of flowers.

Day 23:
